Winter weather proves profitable for Aspray franchise partners in Ireland and Europe
Our Aspray franchisees are happy with the current bad weather in Ireland because it means they get lots of work and make lots of money. In Ireland we are suffering from severe floods and storms which means a surge in insurance claims for property repair and that’s where Aspray come in.
Aspray offer a free service to the general public, project managing building insurance claims from start to finish using local and qualified subcontractors. Already we have 27 franchises up and running in the UK with an average turnover of Eur 500,000. As Ireland and the UK experience similar weather patterns and the Irish insurance industry have experienced a 9% increase in property claims between 2000 and 2005 (source Irish Insurance Federation) the time is right for us to expand into the Irish market.

I also put up signs advertising our services and simply waited for the phone to ring….and it didn’t stop!”. Loss adjusters saw my advertising and asked if I could help him out. He needed a price for a job which Gavin gave him that day and in return received immediate authorisation. And so it continued. 
It's very satisfying to be in a position to help people in their hour of need. We provided a much-needed service to the general public and all our customers were grateful for the assistance. Of course it is also very satisfying that we will show a very healthy profit in our first year of business.
Throughout the year insurance claims offer a constant flow of enquiries giving high margins and steady income. The Payments are made direct from the insurance companies so are guaranteed and often made before the commencement of work. With first-year turnovers of Eur 500,000 and net profit in excess of E75,000 possible, future earnings can be substantial. If you assume our perfect franchisee would have a Construction or Project management background, which of course would be ideal, but we have already seen considerable interest from people in general management, manufacturing, civil service, IT Consultants, Accountants...etc
